Valerie C. Kalas 1958-2026
WARREN — Valerie C. Kalas, 67, died peacefully Friday, April 17, 2026, at White Oak Healthcare after an extended illness.
Valerie was born Oct. 13, 1958, in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Victore and Margaret Novak Roscoe.
She studied graphic design and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Youngstown State University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
Valerie worked many years at Sparkle Market as a meat wrapper until retiring.
She loved being creative and enjoyed drawing, art and interior design. Valerie also loved being outdoors, landscaping and gardening. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Valerie was survived by her husband, Roger Kalas, whom she married Oct. 13, 2009; and her children, Sheridan Sullivan, Ryan Sullivan, Clinton (Ashley) Kalas and Brandon (Desarae) Kalas.
Per Valerie’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
Professional services are being handled by the Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel.
