Shirley Wilmoth 1947-2026

WARREN — Shirley Wilmoth, born Feb. 8, 1947, in Warren, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026, after a brief illness.

She grew up in Warren with her parents and four siblings and attended Warren G. Harding High School.

She was married to William Wilmoth and together they had three daughters. While her children were young, she did not work outside the home but later learned sign language and became an interpreter for the deaf, often signing church services at First Assembly of God. Her church family was dear to her, and she was often found at the church singing in the choir, volunteering as a Sunday school teacher or participating in the widows’ group. Music was a key presence in her life, whether she was singing in church, with her family or just humming the constant song in her heart.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents, James and Ernestine Davis; and her twin sister, Sharon Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Melanie (Barth) Boyer, Robyn Keeney and Rebecca (Justin) Dzikowski; as well as her siblings, Carol Musolf, Bill (Kathy) Davis and Alice (Gale) Fellenger. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Abby, Emma and Ben Larson, and Julie, Justin and Jesse Dzikowski; along with nieces and nephews who were very special to her.

Calling hours will be 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Warren First Assembly of God, 2640 Parkman Road NW, Warren, OH 44485, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery.
