Robert L. Baugher Sr. 1942-2026
WARREN — Robert Lyle “Bob” Baugher Sr., 84, passed into his eternal life on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
Robert was born April 20, 1942, in Southington, to Russell and Florence Craver Baugher. He was a 1960 graduate of Chalker High School.
Bob was owner and operator of Golden-Flo Dairy Farm in Southington from 1961 until 2001. Then he, along with his brother, Bill and son, Robert, transitioned to farming hay and grain until his death.
Bob was a lifelong member of Southington United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of the Knights of Pythian Lodge 333 of West Farmington and a longtime member of the Trumbull County Farm Bureau.
Bob enjoyed hunting, bowling, playing cards, watching Cleveland sports, and for many years, dancing with his wife. In his years of retirement, he could be seen traveling the neighborhood on his John Deere Gator, visiting friends and checking his fields. He taught his children the values of hard work, integrity, generosity and most of all, love. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife and family, as well as the many friends he made throughout his life.
Robert is survived by his high school sweetheart, Judith “Judy” Boyce, whom he married Nov. 19, 1960; they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. Together they had four children, Sharon (Gary) Hamilton of Centerburg, and Lori (Scott) Kistler, Dr. Robert (Ragine) Baugher Jr. and Julie (Robert) Rhodes, all of Southington; 14 grandchildren, Shannon (Jeremy) Spence, Joshua (Jessica) Kistler, Shawn (Andrew) Wilkoski, Heith Kistler, Hallie (Tali) Gorica, Kaileigh (Keith) Maruna, Dr. Brendan (Brittany) Baugher, Christian (Sarah) Wilkoski, Evan (Autum) Wilkoski, Dr. Sara (Troy) Noble, Logan (Emily) Rhodes, Emma (Andrew) Helenbrook, Lukas (Cassandra) Rhodes and Livia Rhodes; and 10 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Kasey, Ashlynn, Linkoln, Mia, Theodore, Russell, Winona, Delilah and Mileena; he was extremely proud of all of them. Bob is also survived by his twin sister, Betty Len of Southington; his longtime farm manager, Kenny Wolfe; and hundreds of nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by six brothers and seven sisters.
