CORTLAND -- Robert D. Tanner, 61, entered into eternal rest Saturday, March 28, 2026, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
He was born Feb. 23, 1965, in Warren, the son of Charles Raymond and Grace Anna Ritch Tanner.
A 1983 graduate of Lakeview High School, Bob also graduated from the Lincoln Electric School of Welding, but his true calling was the food vending business. He was well known in Kent for many years, operating his "Gyro Bob" food cart, and most recently he owned Curby's Custard.
Bob is survived by his brother, Paul Tanner of Cortland; his sister, Betsy Tanner of Howland; and beloved pets, Smudge and Batch.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, John and Brian; and his faithful companions, Curby and Scooter.
To honor Bob's wishes, a private graveside service will take place.
