Mattie M. Gingerich 1940-2026
MIDDLEFIELD — Mattie M. Miller Gingerich, 85, died Sunday, April 12, 2026, at home.
She was born Sept. 20, 1940, in Arthur, Illinois, a daughter of Milo and Lydia Byler Miller.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lester J. Gingerich; children, John Gingerich, Betty Byler, Mary Ann Mast, Cora Miller, Fannie Byler, Robert Gingerich, Wilma Bender, Milo Gingerich, Chester Gingerich, Lester Gingerich Jr., Linda Bender, Noah Gingerich, Lydia Kuhns and Melvin Gingerich; 99 grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren; one brother; and three sisters.
Mattie was preceded in death by two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at 16163 Newcomb Road, Middlefield.
Visitation will be anytime until the morning of the service.
Interment will be in Yoder Cemetery, Parkman.
