James A. Wilson 1938-2026
NEWTON FALLS — James A. Wilson, 87, died Sunday, April 19, 2026, at his daughter’s residence.
He was born on Dec. 18, 1938, in Anniston, Alabama, a son of James D. and Odie L. Conner Wilson.
He retired from employment as a machinist at C.T.P., Cornwell Tools and Allen Aircraft, and he was of Baptist faith.
Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Howell of Newton Falls; four sons, James T. Wilson of Wooster, Jeff and Ken Wilson, both of Atwater, and Rick Wilson of Wooster; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A. Bowser Wilson; and one brother.
Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. April 28, and funeral services will be at 11 a.m. April 29, at James Funeral Home, Newton Falls.
Burial will take place in Atwater Cemetery.
