Daniel Leskovac 1949-2026

McDONALD — Daniel Leskovac, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026, in the comfort of his home.

He was born April 7, 1949, a son to the late Michael and Mildred Vuletich Leskovac.

Daniel proudly served four years in the United States Army, demonstrating patriotism and courage at an early age. Following his military service, he began a long and distinguished career in law enforcement. He devoted 29 years to the McDonald Police Department, culminating in his role as police chief before retiring in 2001. His leadership and dedication left a lasting impact on the community he served. Outside of his career, Daniel was involved with the Fish and Game Club of Vienna and the ARC of Girard, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Niles. He found joy and camaraderie at the Niles Wellness Center and his hobbies included an enthusiasm for firearms, but most importantly, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.

Daniel is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Leskovac, alongside his wife, Jennifer, and Andrew Leskovac. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild who were a significant source of happiness throughout his life.
