Anthony Milkon Jr. 1942-2026
CHAMPION — Anthony “Tony” Milkon Jr., 83, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026, at his home.
He was born Oct. 2, 1942, in Warren, a son of the late Anthony Milkon and the late Edith Polazzi Milkon.
On Feb. 14, 1976, he married Marilyn Fisher, and they just celebrated their 50th anniversary.
He was a graduate of Newton Falls High School, Class of 1963, and worked as a steelworker at Thomas Steel for over 30 years.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War.
Tony was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Army Navy Club. He loved to travel, going to the beach in Ocean City, Maryland, and enjoyed gambling in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Tony and Marilyn enjoyed going out to eat, good food and dancing. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan, as well as a talented bowler and pool shooter. Tony and Marilyn enjoyed hosting family parties at their home. He had a great sense of humor and will be remembered for it.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn Carole Milkon of Champion; his daughter, Tina Marie (Kevin) Phillips of North Carolina; his grandson, Matthew D. Phillips; and his great-grandson, Matthew D. Phillips Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Raymond Milkon; and his sister, Linda Schmitt.
Per his wishes, there will be no services at this time.
