Anna M. Smith 1929-2026
SOUTHINGTON — Anna M. Smith, 96, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Windsor House at Champion. She was a lifelong resident of Southington and a member of Delightful Evangelical Church her entire life.
Anna was born Sept. 5, 1929, to the late Harry and Nora Belle Gillette Hart, the youngest of 13 children.
She was a 1948 graduate of Chalker High School and retired from Packard Electric in 1991.
Anna was a proud grandmother, watching her grandchildren in all of their activities. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and eagerly awaited every televised game.
She is survived by her three children, Laraine (Ron) Hoffman of Champion, Alan (Sharon) Smith of Powell and Brian (Stephanie) Smith of Boynton Beach, Florida; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by 12 siblings and her companion of over 40 years, Arthur Miskolcze.
A private graveside service will take place.
Interment will be in Southington Graham Cemetery.
