WEATHERSFIELD - Andrew P. Doughty, 65, passed away at 9:38 a.m. Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Hospice House in Poland.
He was born June 21, 1960, in Youngstown, the son of Donald Francis and Barbara F. Vaupel Doughty.
Andy was a 1978 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and honorably served in the United States Army.
For many years, he was a dispatcher for Rood Trucking Company. Andy was a life member of the Niles Army and Navy Post 244 and enjoyed fishing, playing pool and reading, especially Stephen King novels. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Guardians.
Andy is survived by his children, Patrick Doughty of Girard, Kelly (Tom) Groves of New Mexico and Cody Doughty; two grandchildren, Leanna Doughty and Dalton Groves; great-grandson, Jonathan; two sisters, Dorothy (Robert) Allen and Sandee Doughty, both of Niles; and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kaitlyn Doughty; and two brothers, Christopher M. Doughty and Donald R. Doughty.
There are no calling hours or funeral services.
