Samuel L. Miler 1955-2026

WARREN — Samuel Lee “Sam” Miller, 70, entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 12, 2026, following a brief illness. A beloved brother and uncle, he was surrounded by loved ones at home at the time of his passing.

Sam was born June 8, 1955, in Warren, to Sammie Lee Miller and Bertha Evans Miller and lived his entire life in Warren. He graduated from Warren Western Reserve High School in 1975. Sam was employed with the Trumbull County Sanitary Engineers Office, where he worked faithfully until his retirement in 2021.

Sam was baptized in Jesus’ name in January 1967 and was filled with the Holy Spirit on Jan. 12, 1976, at Mount Calvary Pentecostal Church under the ministry of the late Bishop Norman L. Wagner. Over more than 45 years of devoted membership, he served in various roles and dedicated his life to serving God. Well-versed in the Bible, Sam enjoyed sharing the Gospel and living out his faith through kindness, generosity and compassion toward others. His faith in God gave him strength to overcome life’s challenges.

A lifelong learner, Sam was an avid reader with a deep love for history. He enjoyed watching sports, especially cheering for the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also cherished traveling with family and dining out. Sam’s sense of humor and warm smile were truly infectious.

Left to cherish Sam’s memory are his brothers, Ronald Evans (Tommy Seen), Timothy Miller (Emerly) and Michael Miller, and his sisters, Linda Miller, Shirley Miller, Angela Miller-Parker and Sherry Miller; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, relatives and dear friends. To many, he was affectionately known as “Uncle Sam.”

Sam was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Palmer Boggs; and his brother, Ramone Miller.

Though he is no longer with us, his love remains in our hearts and his impact will be felt for years to come. We find comfort in knowing he is at peace in the presence of God, whom he trusted deeply.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2026, at Mount Calvary Pentecostal Church, 1812 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, OH 44507, with calling hours 10 to 11 a.m.

Interment will take place in Pineview Cemetery, 4049 Youngstown Road, Warren, OH 44484, followed by a repast at Aulizio’s Banquet Center, 4395 Youngstown Road, Warren, OH 44484.
