BRACEVILLE -- Reah Joann Goff, age 94, of Braceville, passed away peacefully into eternal rest, Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Country Club Rehabilitation Campus in Newton Falls.
She was born Jan. 28, 1932, in Frew, W.Va., the daughter of the late Benton Tennant and Suzanna Thomas Tennant.
Joann married her first husband, Homer C. Warner, on Sept. 18, 1948, and they enjoyed 17 years of marriage together, until his death on Feb. 13, 1966. She married her second husband, Ferrell Goff, on June 14, 1969, and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage together, until his death on Nov. 13, 2021.
Joann had lived in Braceville since 1969, formerly of Alma, W.Va. Joann was a wonderful housewife and mother to her children. She loved getting together with family for any occasion. In the summer, she loved vacationing with her husband, gardening, and often found swinging on her front porch watching the birds. Joann found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, like sharing a sweet dessert, cooking a homemade meal, crocheting, shopping, traveling and helping at the church pork chop dinners.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents; her first and second husbands; three brothers, Francis, Danie and Harley Tennant; one sister, Delcie Booher; and one daughter-in-law, Sally Warner.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Smith (Mike Havert) of Hilton, New York, Betty (Larry) Fletcher of Alma, W.Va., and Linda Warner (Amy Long) of Cleveland; four sons, Rick (Deb) Warner of Alma, W.Va., Mike Warner of Newton Falls, Terry (Sue) Warner of Leavittsburg and Brian (Jessica) Goff of Akron; one sister, Marjorie Haney of Leavittsburg; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls, with Pastor Joan Purnell officiating. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Ferrell, in Braceville Cemetery.
