Mark E. Kazimer 1952-2026
NEWTON FALLS — Mark E. Kazimer, 73, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Louis V. Stokes VA Hospital in Cleveland.
He was born Nov. 30, 1952, in Warren, the son of the late William J. Kazimer and Arvadia Ruth Elliott Kazimer.
Mark lived in Newton Falls all of his life and graduated from Newton Falls High School in the Class of 1971. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army and served from 1971 to 1972 during the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life, Judy Lynn Johnson, on Nov. 12, 1998, and they enjoyed 27 years of marriage together.
Mark worked as a cabinetmaker at KraftMaid Cabinetry in Middlefield for 13 years, retiring in 2014. He was a longtime member of St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. He loved doing car autobody work and being outside doing yard work.
He is survived by two stepdaughters, Elizabeth O’Malley and Michelle Chicko, both of Newton Falls; stepsons, Tim O’Malley of California and David (Diana) Alicea of Toledo; one sister, Jane (Bruce) Simpson of Mukilteo, Washington; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, and by brother and sister-in-law, James “Jim” and Debbie Kazimer.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will begin 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the James Funeral Home, Newton Falls, with the Rev. Fr. Zachary Coulter officiating.
Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the funeral home.
Mark will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery, Newton Falls.
