AMBRIDGE, Pa. — Kevin M. Clifton, 76, died Sunday, March 29, 2026, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Born Nov. 29, 1949, in Warren, he was the son of the late Thomas and Wanda Stern Clifton.

After his service he worked at Copperweld Steel, and, while there, he volunteered at the United Way of Trumbull County, where he eventually took a full-time position as campaign director and later at the Allegheny County United Way.

Later in life, Kevin attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned a degree in management information systems. He then worked at the University of Pittsburgh, Katz School of Business, PPG Industries and New Brighton School District.

Kevin was an active, dedicated and loyal member of the Ohio Jaycees and ran very efficient state and national election campaigns. He was recognized with the Distinguished Service Award and was also recognized for his efforts with the National Jaycee Senator Award for outstanding achievement. He was a walking encyclopedia and never forgot a face. But he was best known for his wit and enthusiasm and his natural ability to tell stories, especially “Irish” stories. He also enjoyed bringing together family and friends and sharing his gift of gourmet cooking, baking and his specialty libations.

Surviving are his wife, Irene Muzyka Clifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Lindsey Clifton; two daughters, Mary Hewlett and Margaret Bupp; four grandchildren, Riona, Riley, Ian and Charles; three brothers and sisters-in-law, his “Irish Twin,” Thomas and Jean Clifton, Ted and Cheryl Clifton, and Dan and Ruby Clifton; his beloved dog, London; his beloved cat, Jameson; and many nieces and nephews.
