NILES -- John Allen Drummond Sr., 58, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, March 18, 2026, at his mother-in-law's residence, following complications from a heart ailment.
He was born July 18, 1967, in West Virginia, a son of Frank and Delphia Peters Drummond Sr.
He was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and worked for many years at Niles Iron and Metal. He was a member of St. Pope John XXIII-St. Stephen Church, Niles, and enjoyed collecting model cars and staying active in martial arts.
John is survived by his son, John Allen Drummond Jr. of Niles; daughter, Mary Alice Surgenovic of Columbiana; grandson, Kayden Queale; mother-in-law, Joyce Crank of Niles; two brothers, Tim Drummond and Donald Drummond; and a sister, Connie Drummond.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Michelle Lee Crank Drummond, whom he married on April 29, 1989, and who passed away on June 20, 2002; son, Justin Drummond, who passed away on May 21, 2018; father-in-law, William Crank; and two brothers, Roy Drummond and Frank Drummond Jr.
A graveside service, with the Rev. Leo Wehrlin, will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2025, at St. Stephen Cemetery.
