NILES -- Joanne F. Munno, 85, went to be home with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
She was born Oct. 11, 1940, in Warren, a daughter of the late Frank Rossi and the late Ada Spain Rossi.
Joanne was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and a member of Believers Church. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed cooking, shopping with her daughters and sister, and playing games with family and friends, but above all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Munno Jr. of Niles; daughters, Annette Toro, also of Niles, and Renee (Kerry) Birdwell of Chandler, Texas; sons, Mark (Wendy) Munno of Warren, Frank (Shari) Munno of Niles and Michael (Danielle) Munno, also of Niles; brother, Peter (Joan) Rossi of Willoughby; sister, Victoria Pirigyi of Mineral Ridge; grandchildren, Tasha (Jerrald) May of Warren, Joanna (Kyle) Dean of Sheridan, Indiana, Carrie (Ben) Litter of Girard, Melissa Bisker, also of Girard, Sonny (Chelbie) Birdwell of Dallas, Texas, Zach (Jenna) Birdwell of Tioga, Texas, Jessica (Glenn) Gault of Howland, Steven (Amber) Greene, also of Howland, Austin (fiancee, Carly Liptak) Munno of Austintown, Dante (fiancee, Shannon Yonnotti) Munno of Girard, Drew Munno of Akron and Isaiah Munno of Howland; and 19 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Greg Toro; and brother-in-law, Michael Pirigyi.
No services will be held at this time.
Her legacy lives on in others through organ donation. A heartfelt thank you to Life Banc and St. Joseph ICCU for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
The family requests any memorial contributions be made to the Warren Family Mission or the Salvation Army of Warren, in Joanne's memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
