Janice M. Arndt 1931-2026

Janice M. Arndt

CHAMPION -- Janice Mae Arndt, 94, died Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Windsor House in Champion.

She was born Sept. 2, 1931, in Cortland, a daughter of the late Guy and Frances Post McAninch. Janice was a graduate of Southington Chalker High School. She had worked at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Southington barracks, Trumbull Memorial Hospital, and for Dr. Frank Veres at Warren Outpatient Services. She was a member of Champion Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Willard "Bill" Arndt; three sons, Michael, William "Billy" and Brian; and one sister, Jean Shafer.

Janice is survived by a daughter, Lynda Norton (James Saker) of Champion; daughter-in-law, Myra Arndt of Loudonville; grandchildren, Angela Arndt Brawdy, Dana Norton (Dan Benevente), Eric Arndt (Natasha Kacoroski), Cara (Mark) Beaumont and Julie Arndt; and great-grandchildren, Britney Brawdy, Nora Beaumont and James Beaumont. Also surviving are sisters, Donna Schubert and Diana "Susie" McAninch; and her brother, James (Susan) McAninch.

No services or calling hours will be held at this time.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Champion Fire Department, in Janice's memory.

Carl W. Hall Funeral Home handled arrangements.
