Fred M. Abraham 1928-2026
WARREN — Fred Michael Abraham, 97, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026.
He was born May 24, 1928, in Warren, a son of Mike Abraham and Martha Joseph Abraham.
Fred was a 1948 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean conflict. Following his service, he attended barber college in Cleveland and went on to own and operate the Atlantic Barbershop for 65 years, retiring at the age of 90. Fred was well known in the community and cherished the many friendships he made throughout his years as a barber.
He enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and vegetables, and spending time woodworking. Above all, Fred loved his family and especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Janet Rudder.
Fred is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Abraham; his children, Fred (Judy) Abraham, Cindy (Tim Ketterman) Fisher and Karen (Gary) Lewis; his grandchildren, Tom (Elizabeth) Abraham, Alissa (Mike Rothicker) Abraham, Jason (Brandy) Fisher, Michelle (Cory) Gaddis and Brooke (Alex) Recker; his great-grandchildren, Kellen, Maddex, Emsley Fisher, Weston and Larkin Gaddis, and Carmen and Gia Recker; his brother, John (Lucy) Abraham; and his brother-in-law, Vern Rudder.
Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2026, at Lane Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren, OH 44483, with a prayer service at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in All Souls Cemetery.
