Eva M. Jenkins 1936-2026
WARREN — Eva May Rodgers Jenkins, 89, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born April 4, 1936, in Luverne, Alabama, a daughter of Douglas Rodgers and Beatrice Bozeman Rodgers McTear.
She was a dishwasher at Jimmy Chieffo’s and a member of Third Christian Church.
Survivors include her son, Travis of Aliquippa, Pa.; daughters, Mable Carolyn Ryans, Thelma and Runetta Jenkins, and Elizabeth Howard; brothers, James W. Sr. and Howard Rodgers; sisters, Silver Bennett, Shirley A. Rodgers Brantley and Sarah Rodgers, all of Warren; 22 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Selma Jenkins Sr.; sons, Selma Jr. and Jerome Jenkins; daughters, Sylvia D. Clay and Nellie A. Johnson; two brothers; and four sisters.
Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. James Church of God in Christ, with a service at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
