Ronald T. Hake 1936-2026

NILES -- Ronald T. Hake, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, just one day shy of his 90th birthday.

Born Feb. 7, 1936, in Howland, Ronald was the son of the late William Hake and Evelyn Newell Hake.

After graduating high school, Ronald went on to build a career as an instrument repairman at RMI. Known for his strong work ethic and dependable nature, he took great pride in providing for his family.

Ronald was a former member of Evansville Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially golfing and fishing, and even found the energy to play baseball throughout his life. He was happiest when surrounded by those he loved.

Ronald, throughout his life, never knew a stranger, as said by those who knew him. He had an incredible knack for talking and making friends with anyone.

Ronald is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Hake, whom he married April 17, 1954. Together they shared 71 devoted years of marriage. He is also survived by his daughter, Susan (Deborah) Hake of Macon, Georgia; and daughter-in-law, Dr. Maureen Mitchell; brother-in-law, Bob Holmes Sr.; as well as nieces, Sherry Beatty and Lisa Hake; and nephews, Chuck Hake and Bob (Jen) Holmes.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his son, James Hake; his sister, Doris Holmes; brothers, Bill Hake and Charlie Hake; and niece, Brenda Ainsworth.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, with Pastor Joel Rastelli officiating. Family and friends may call 10 to 11 a.m.

Ronald will be laid to rest in Kerr Cemetery in Weathersfield Township.
