WARREN -- Janet L. Watkins, 63, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026.
She was born Jan. 7, 1963, in Warren, a daughter to the late Raymond and Naomi Kelly Fenstermaker.
Janet was a member of the graduating class of 1981 at Ravenna High School. She then spent 20 years working for Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna. She married her husband, Steven "Andy" Watkins, in 2013.
She was a woman of faith and loved the Lord Jesus Christ. She absolutely loved music and all that came with it -- dancing, singing and, on rare occasions, you'd catch her playing the drums or bass guitar. She was an avid Cleveland Indians, Browns and Ohio State fan. Janet enjoyed playing bingo and taking in the view of the local cemeteries. Janet lived for animals, especially her cats, Durango and Sunfire.
Janet leaves behind many that will miss her dearly, including her husband, Andy; daughters, Melissa (Anderson) McGhee, Mary Gibson and Amanda (Adam) Prater; sons, Leroy Gibson, Thomas Gibson and Michael Gibson; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy Zirkle; brothers, Ed Fenstermaker and Rick Kelly; and half-brothers, Sean and Keith.
She was predeceased by her parents; aunts, Mary Kelly and Kay Kelly; and cousin, David Kelly.
Calling hours will be at noon Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Niles. A funeral service and luncheon will follow at 1 p.m.
Caring and professional services were entrusted to Selby Funeral Home.
