WARREN -- Jan "Sis" Seminara, 76, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at Gillette Nursing Home under the care of Hospice following a brief illness brought on by a 2023 stroke.
She was born Aug. 26, 1949, in Warren, a daughter of John R. Friend (deceased, 1996 in Largo, Florida) and Dolly G. Friend (deceased, 2007 in Warren, Ohio).
Jan graduated from Howland High School, Class of 1967, and spent her life rescuing and feeding stray cats.
Jan retired from the Trumbull County Children Services as a youth leader in 2014 and was of the Catholic faith.
Jan leaves to cherish her memory her son, Mike Seminara of Warren; daughter, Nikki Seminara (Jon Donaldson) of Warren; granddaughters, Olivia Seminara and Gia Donaldson, both of Warren; sister, Barbara Williams of Warren; brother, Larry Bulford of Port Richey, Florida; sister, Sandy Ritter of Spring Hill, Florida; and sister-in-law, Annette (Chuck) Clover of Newton Falls.
Jan was preceded in death by her brother, John J. Friend (Beverly Friend) of Bristolville, in 1998; daughter, Lesa Seminara of Warren, in 1971; mother-in-law, Nancy Seminara of Newton Falls, in 2023; and many family members, friends and fur babies.
There are no services.
The Seminara family would like to thank Jon Donaldson, her favorite son-in-law, for all his help and the care he provided to Mom and the family after her stroke.
