Gloria Binion 1942-2026

CORTLAND -- Gloria Binion, 83, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, at Hospice of the Valley Hospice House.

She was born Sept. 21, 1942, in Warren, a daughter of the late Anthony and Frances DeFelice.

Gloria was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School.

On Sept. 1, 1966, she married William Binion. They spent 23 loving years together before his passing in March 1990.

Gloria was known for her strong work ethic and spent much of her life working at jobs she truly loved. She started her career as the owner of Felice's Beauty Salon, named after her lifelong nickname, "Felice." She also worked at the Eagles Club for 25 years and later at McDonald's, which became her favorite job because of the people she worked with and the friendships she made. Even following her recent hip surgery, one of her first questions was, "When can I go back to work?"

She enjoyed bowling and was a member of a bowling league. Gloria also loved the Cleveland Indians, breakfast dates at Perkins, collecting purses, displaying her magnet collection from the many places her family traveled and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Shockey.

Gloria is survived by her loving daughters, Tracey Yanci and Lori Binion; her grandchildren, Allison (Andrew) Steele, Anthony Scott, Meghan (Michael) Mannella, Samantha (Brett) Mawhinney and Alyssa Scott; her great-grandchildren, Natalie, Amira, Giana, Michael and Ellijuan Jr.; and two expected great-grandchildren, Erin and Matthew.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Gloria 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at the Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m.

Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
