HOWLAND -- Geraldine F. Konczal, age 97, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Jan. 13, 1929, in Toledo, the daughter of Ludwik "Louis" and Helen Bartnik Bieganski, moving to the Warren area in April 1996.
Geraldine was a 1946 graduate of Harriet Whitney Vocational High School in Toledo and worked as an executive secretary at Curtin & Peace and at Lane Drug Company, both in Toledo.
After moving to Warren, she and Raymond both worked at Mount Carmel Church in Niles for many years.
Geraldine enjoyed a good round of golf and was a big Notre Dame fan.
She attended St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church and Gesu Catholic Church while in Toledo, and Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren, and she went to church every Sunday until she was no longer able to drive.
Precious memories of Geraldine live on with her son, David R. (Deeana) Konczal of Howland; three grandchildren, Michael, Megan and Mary Konczal; one great-grandson, Everett Konczal; and her brother, Dale (Judy) Bieganski of Gold Canyon, Arizona.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her beloved husband of nearly 52 years, whom she married April 21, 1956, and who passed Feb. 4, 2008, 18 years to the day before Geraldine; three sisters, Dorothy Raczkowski, Bernadette Kaminski and Elizabeth Perz; and her brother, Henry Bieganski.
Calling hours are 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday. All who know and love Geraldine are welcome to attend and celebrate her wonderful life.
Her urn will be laid to rest at a later date, next to her husband, in All Souls Cemetery.
