Barbara S. Strother 1956-2026
WARREN — It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Suzanne Strother, 69, a lifelong resident of Warren, who passed away suddenly at her home on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026.
Barbara was a graduate of Warren G Harding High School, Class of 1974.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Violet B. Taylor; her father, John E. Taylor; and her sister, Sharon Lundeen.
She is survived by her loving siblings, Deborah A. Taylor, Patricia A. Taylor and John E. Taylor and his wife, Rosania Taylor. She also leaves behind her cherished nephews, Charles, Michael, Matheus and Ethan; and her beloved nieces, Cassandra and Kaitlyn.
Barbara is also survived by her godson, David Kirksey; and her goddaughter, Brandi Lyn Gross, who were truly the joy of her life. She will be deeply missed by the many dear friends whose love and companionship meant so much to her and who are too numerous to list individually.
Barbara had a special gift for making everyone around her feel valued and loved.
She was an active and dedicated member of the Trumbull County African American Achievers Association, SCOPE and her churches, Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church and Progressive Baptist Church, which she held very close to her heart.
Calling hours will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at Progressive Baptist Church, 2258 Colonial St. SE, Warren, OH 44484. Funeral Service to follow at 11 a.m.
