Barbara A. Snyder 1947-2025

She was born April 18, 1947, in Alliance, raised in Mineral Ridge and spent most of her adult life in Ravenna.

Barbara dedicated her career to Packard Electric/Delphi, where she worked for many years. Beyond her professional life, she was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend who brought warmth and comfort to those around her. She treasured time spent with family and friends, creating countless memories through shared laughter and traditions.

Barbara especially loved the family-themed Christmas celebrations, an event she helped make magical each year. Known for her strength, kindness and unwavering support, Barbara was always there for her loved ones in times of need. Her storytelling ability was unmatched, leaving those who knew her with fond memories of her humor and wisdom. Her presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Darlene (Joseph) Szymanski; cherished granddaughter, Kristi (Jason) Bunnell; and her longtime loving partner, Robert Chismark; along with his children and grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, George and Celestial “Sally” Snyder, and her sister, Linda Tripodi.

In accordance with Barbara’s wishes, no services will be held.
