Anthony Derico 1953-2026

NORTH BLOOMFIELD -- Anthony "Tony" Derico, 72, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026.

Born July 12, 1953, in Hanford, Washington, he was the son of Lebro and Bernice Powers Derico. Tony lived a life grounded in family, faith and simple joys. He was a man of many talents and passions -- an avid woodworker, a devoted fisherman and a gifted guitarist who loved playing music and writing songs in his spare time. Trail riding and time spent outdoors brought him a sense of peace, but nothing meant more to him than the moments he shared with his grandchildren.

Tony is survived by his loving wife, Marti Hershberger Derico; his children, Christina (Daniel) Keller, Mathew (Brandie) Hershberger, Anthony "Buck" Derico and Michael Hershberger; his brothers, Michael (Tracey) Derico and William (Julie) Derico; and his cherished grandchildren, Jack, Mason, Logan, Harmony and Jordan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lebro and Bernice Derico.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at Northeast Christian Church, 865 Perkins Jones Road, Warren. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Sager Memorial Park in Bristolville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
