PALM DESERT, Calif. -- Ray James "Jim" Mace Jr., 64, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, after a short illness.
Born Jan. 21, 1961, in Warren, he was a graduate of Newton Falls High School. Jim attended Kent State University and served in the Ohio National Guard.
He had a successful career in the hotel industry, implementing many innovative programs, including training employees in operational and management positions and aligning all departments and teams. Jim also served as the director of operations at Trilogy Golf Club in La Quinta, California, hosting the popular PGA Tour Exhibition Skins Game featuring Tiger Woods.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Evelyn Mace, and his sister, Shauna.
Jim is survived by his brother, Ryan of South Carolina; his former wife, Joyce Bellej of Palm Desert, California; and his beloved dog, Farley.
