Patricia M. VanOrman 1952-2026
YOUNGSTOWN — Patricia M. VanOrman, 73, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
She was born Sept. 10, 1952, in Warren, a daughter of Harry Swope and Viola Holmes.
Patricia was a graduate of Leavittsburg High School and was employed in quality control at Dynasol. She enjoyed going to garage sales, spoiling her grandchildren, watching movies and volunteering at the Red Cross.
She is survived by her sons, Jack (April) VanOrman of Newton Falls, and Chris (Tina) VanOrman of Mineral Ridge; daughter, Amber McKinstry of Boardman; brother, Robbie Swope; sister, Darlene Schooley; grandchildren, Christina, Tristan, Ryan, Gavin and Madalyn; and great-grandchildren, Liam, Evelynn and Ariella.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Sylvia Wheeler, Debbie Scott, Shirley McCartney, Eugene Swope, James Swope, Ronald Swope, Kathy Medina and Randy Lee Swope.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Jim Dittmar will officiate.
