BRISTOLVILLE -- Pamela Christine Tilley, known affectionately as Pam by those who loved her, embarked on her final adventure Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025.
Born Sept. 5, 1959, Pamela lived a life defined by compassion, devotion and a heartfelt commitment to caring for others.
A dedicated state tested nursing assistant (STNA), Pamela gave many years of service to those in need, offering comfort, dignity and kindness with every patient she touched. Her gentle spirit extended far beyond her work -- she was a fierce animal advocate, a lifelong lover of music and someone who cherished every moment spent with the people she loved.
Pamela's greatest joy was her family. She adored her children and grandchildren and embraced her role as mother and grandmother with boundless love. Her warmth, humor and generosity enriched the lives of all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed. Her zest for life wasn't loud -- it was radiant. It shone quietly through her kindness, her curiosity and her love.
She was preceded in death by her father, Christian Grey Showers Sr.
She will be dearly missed by her devoted fiance, Victor Peterman; her daughters, Carrie (Robert) Oviatt and Lauren (Edward Cook) Bishop; her mother, Dorothy Jean Showers; her brother, Christian Showers Jr.; and her beloved grandchildren, Haley, Serenity, Richard, Robbie, Aurora, Zoe, Cereza, Liam and Ayden. Each of them carries forward her legacy of love, resilience and compassion.
Pamela will be remembered as a loving partner, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Her kindness, her music, her advocacy for animals, and her deep love for family and friends will continue to echo in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
