May Charlotte Raymond 1936-2026

She was born March 28, 1936, in Middlefield, the daughter of William and Hazel Chubb Donaldson. She was a 1954 graduate of Kinsman High School and a proud 1959 graduate of Kent State University, where she spent one year as a cadet teacher before graduation.

May taught in several local school districts, including Jefferson, Grand Valley, Maplewood and Pymatuning Valley. She loved teaching and working with children in the classroom and later as a 4-H advisor. She also owned and operated Glenn-Ray Farm alongside her husband, Glenn.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Glenn; two daughters, Carlotta (John) Sheets of Cortland and Nerissa (Michael) Roscoe of Gustavus Township; two grandchildren, Tatum (Justin) Somerville and Preston Sheets; and one brother, Lee (Mary Ann) Donaldson of Williamsfield.

She was preceded in death by an infant son; her parents; two sisters, Grace Motil and Rose Donaldson; and one brother, Paul Donaldson.

Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2026, at Baumgardner Funeral and Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery.
