Kenneth Charles Stevens 1948-2026

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Kenneth passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, surrounded by family.

Born on Dec. 4, 1948, in Warren, Ohio, Ken was the son of the late Gordon Charles Stevens and Lois Marie Scott Stevens.

He graduated from Joseph Badger High School, Class of 1966, and Youngstown State University, Class of 1980, earning a degree in electrical engineering. He served honorably in the United States Navy and had a distinguished career as an electrical engineer at Packard Electric in Warren, Ohio, and Delphi Electronics in upstate South Carolina.

He found joy in golfing, watching the Guardians play baseball, attending his granddaughters' sporting events, relaxing with the dogs, fixing up his cars and traveling to local car shows with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his warm smile, sense of humor and air harmonica skills that he loved to show off during family road trips.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Stewart Stevens; children, Deidra Stevens and Amanda Stevens Nilsen; grandchildren, Abigail Graham and Raylan Nilsen; siblings, Richard and Cindy Stevens and Vern and Paula Stevens; and beloved dogs, Missy and granddog, Sherlock.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Hazel Stevens; sisters, Jeanne Gillis and Sharon Barto; sister-in-law, Kim Hopkins Stevens; and loving pets, Bogey and Zoe.

A celebration of life will be held on a date to be determined in the spring of 2026 in Kinsman, Ohio.
