Kathy L. Muntz 1950-2025

SOUTHINGTON -- Kathy Lee Muntz, 75, passed away at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center on Dec. 23, 2025, due to a rare and aggressive cancer.

Kathy was born in Warren, on Jan. 11, 1950, to parents Robert L. McDonald and Norma Rotunno McDonald.

She grew up in Howland, next door to one of her best friends, where her passion for horses had begun. Kathy graduated from Howland High School in 1968 -- go Tigers!

Kathy was employed for 28-plus years at the Trumbull County Job and Family Services department, where many lifelong friendships were created. She resided in Southington for over 40 years. Kathy was a caretaker, raised children and many pets, loved gardening, and played with friends and family in a friendly competition of card games / dominoes.

Kathy leaves behind her children, Shean Scott of San Leandro, California, and Zachary (Andrea) Muntz of Cuyahoga Falls; granddaughter, Charlotte; brother, Jeffrey McDonald (James Sullivan) of San Francisco, California; brother-in-law, Ehoud Peled of Oakland, California; sister-in-law, Patricia Combs and family; stepsiblings, Theresa Voneida and Anthony (Roberta) Rotunno, James (Debbie) Murray, Kristen Harrison (Loyd Miller), Jackie (Kevin and Christopher) Bokros, and Jeff Beckner; niece, Carlynn Rose (Tate Fewell); great-nieces and -nephews, Jesse and Hope Morrison, Sydney Rotunno and Allison Voneida; dearest friends, Sharon Pike (Chris Wanca), Donna (Robert) Starr, Tara Cella, Gloria Mintus, Jerry (Ruth) Vandegrift, Phillip and Ila Dean, Kyle Butcher and Harold Scott

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert (Roberta Beckner) McDonald and Norma (Harry) Rotunno; daughter, Madison Muntz; husband, Morris W. Muntz; father-in-law, Morris C. Muntz; brother, Robert McDonald; and sister, Sandra Rose.

Family and friends will gather from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
