KINSMAN -- Eunice Eloise Zimmet, 97, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, at Otterbein of Cortland.
She was born April 20, 1928, in Warren, the daughter of the late Maurice and Marion Nason Tricker.
Eunice graduated from Leavittsburg High School in 1948. She was a standby manager for Avon Products, where she won an award for outstanding sales. In 1977, she became only the second woman in Trumbull County to sell automobiles when she took a sales position with Wollam Chevrolet Dealership. Eunice was a member of Vernon United Methodist Church, where she served as auditor, choir director and Sunday School teacher. Some of her other memberships included being a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Hartford Chapter 518; a member of the WKBN Bird Watcher's Society; past president of the Pymatuning Garden Club; Vernon United Methodist Women; Vernon Blue Star Mothers; American Red Cross, where she received a 30-year service award; Ohio Good Sam Club Chapter 22 "Happy Travelers"; and a member of the State of Ohio Good Sam Staff, serving as an assistant director.
In her younger years, she was very active as a Cub Scouts den mother, Little League scorekeeper and coach, and PTA president and served as vice president of the Joseph Badger Board of Education. In her later years, she was very active at Lake Vista and enjoyed winning bingo and playing cards.
Survivors include her sons, Gary Lynn (Janet) Zimmet, Dennis Gordon (Molly) Zimmet, Lloyd Gerald (Cheryl) Zimmet and Wayne (Martha) Zimmet; grandchildren, Kellie Zimmet, Jessica Logan, Nathan (Kaylee) Zimmet, Marcie Dearth, Tricia Meyers, Joseph (Sarah) Zimmet, Joshua (Tracy) Zimmet, Christopher Zimmet and twins Brett and Carly Zimmet; and great-grandchildren, Spencer and Coleton Logan, Landon, Greyson and Easton Zimmet, Kendall and Jordyn Dearth, Victoria and Blake Greco, and Elliot and Bryson Zimmet.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald J. Zimmet Jr.; four brothers, Dean Gordon Tricker, Eugene Alvin Tricker, Gerald Owen Tricker and Franklin Earl Tricker; and a sister, June Burkhart.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Gustavus Township Cemetery.
The family requests that material contributions be made to the Lifelong Learning Events for the Independent Residents at Otterbein of Cortland or the Alzheimer's Association, in her memory.
