BRISTOLVILLE -- Daniel L. Grafton, 70, passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, at UH Geauga Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 3, 1955, in Warren, a son of Ralph Grafton and Helen Shoup Grafton.
Daniel was a 1974 graduate of Champion High School and graduated in 1978 from Kent State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in education and biology. He retired from Hexpol Compounding after more than 40 years.
Daniel was a cycling enthusiast and nature lover. He enjoyed gardening, sitting on his swing overlooking his "back 40," tinkering and maintaining his mowers, and picking up sticks.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Leslie Schmidt Grafton of Bristolville; brother, David (Janet) Grafton; sisters, Marjorie (Kim) Whiteman and Julie (John) Bolton; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
