Craig Wayne Hendrickson 1946-2026

CORTLAND -- Craig Wayne Hendrickson, 80, passed away peacefully Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, after a courageous battle with several health issues.

Craig was born Jan. 6, 1946, in Bordentown, New Jersey, to Stanley and Marion Hobson Hendrickson.

He was a graduate of Howland High School and a proud U.S. Navy veteran. He served his country during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Francis River (LSM(R)-525).

After his military service, Craig worked as an electrician and retired from Delphi / Packard Electric.

Throughout his life, Craig embraced adventure and never sat still for long. He was a licensed pilot and plane owner, an avid fisherman and enjoyed racing cars, bowling, hunting, water and snow skiing, snowmobiling, softball and darts. He loved to travel and especially treasured family vacations at Ponce Inlet, Florida. He was also a self-proclaimed "really good golfer."

Above all, he was a loving husband and devoted father. Known for his sharp mind and quick wit, Craig had a way of keeping everyone on their toes -- he was a bit of a jokester and, by his family's own loving admission, a slight pain in the butt. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by the love of his life and his wife of nearly 58 years, Barbara Anne Graham Hendrickson. They met on a blind date and were married shortly after his tour of duty. He is also survived by his daughter, Kim Cash and her husband, Ken; his son, Kirk Hendrickson and his wife, Susie; his grandchildren, Matthew Cash and his wife, Lauren, Daniel Cash, Ethan Hendrickson and Ellie Hendrickson; and his great-grandchildren, Grayson Cash and Garret Cash.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Marian Nolan; and his brothers, Stanley, Bruce and Barry.

Calling hours will be 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, at the Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren, OH 44483, for those who wish to celebrate Craig's life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, or the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, www.awlrescueme.com.
