BURTON -- Catherine McIlvaine, 75, passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 10, 2026, at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.
Catherine was born July 3, 1950, in Erie, Pa., a daughter of the late George Everett Jr. and Dorothy Irene Price.
She was a graduate of Academy High School in Erie and continued her education studying at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She was a pastor, most recently at Church on the Commons in North Bloomfield, and had a love for God and all the churches she served.
She was an animal lover and had a soft spot for dogs; was a great musician, especially playing the flute; and was a second-degree black belt in karate, working toward her third. Most of all, she loved being with her family and being a mom.
Catherine will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Pastor Ron McIlvaine, whom she married Jan. 19, 1980; children, Brian (Joyci) McIlvaine and Fiona (Paul) McLay; stepchildren, Steven, Thomas and Robert (Shelly) McIlvaine; grandson, Connor McLay; step-grandchildren, Veronica, Carl, Dustin, Aaron, Bobby Jr., Dakota and Caroline McIlvaine; many great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Trimble; brothers, Tim and Andy Price; and her two dogs, Boy and Ederra.
Family and friends may visit 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, at Living Water Church, 6262 Youngstown Kingsville Road in Farmdale.
A memorial service will follow at noon.
