SOUTHINGTON -- Beverly J. Stewart, 93, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026.
She was born April 14, 1932, to the late Herbert Roscoe and Ethel Taylor Hyden.
Beverly was a 1950 graduate of West Farmington High School, where she enjoyed playing softball. That same year, on June 10, 1950, she married the love of her life, Leroy E. "Slim" Stewart, with whom she shared many happy years of marriage.
She was a devoted member of Southington United Methodist Church and deeply cherished her church family. Beverly was also a member of Opal Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and served as Past Mother Advisor of West Farmington Assembly 116. Her dedication to youth was evident through her time as a Brownie troop leader.
Beverly worked for General Motors for 30 years and later at the dining hall at Hiram College for 15 years, retiring at the remarkable age of 86.
She loved traveling and spending time with her family. Known for her love of music and dancing, Beverly was often the life of the party and brought joy wherever she went.
She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Biles of Southington and Linda (Gary Hardman) of Southington; her sister, Charlotte Miller of New Braunfels, Texas; grandchildren, Donya (Ed) Fowler of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, Sarah Miller of Champion, Becky (Mikie) Marlatt of Southington and Richard Stewart (Mandy) Biles of Southington; great-grandchildren, Liz (CJ) Moore of Kent, Zoey (Willis) Howell of Hubbard, Avah Miller and Izac Miller of Champion, Maggie Marlatt and Molly Marlatt of Southington, and Alivia Biles of Southington; and great-great-grandchildren, Madison and Bryson Moore of Kent.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Roscoe and Ethel Hyden; her beloved husband, Leroy E. Stewart; her son-in-law, Richard D. Biles; her brothers, Herbert Hyden, Robert Hyden and Raymond Hyden; and her sister, June Davis.
Beverly will be remembered for her kindness, dedication to family and community, and her joyful spirit.
Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan.22, 2026, at Carlson Funeral Home, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at the funeral home, with calling hours 10 to 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Graham Cemetery in Southington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southington United Methodist Church. 4348 Smith Nelson Road, Southington, OH 44470, in her memory.
