CORTLAND -- Barbara G. Howard, 78, passed away Sunday evening, Dec. 28, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Barbara was born July 3, 1947, in Warren, a daughter of the late William and Lydia McKnight Boyd.
She was a graduate of Lakeview High School and worked as a bookkeeper, retiring at Executive Landscaping.
She was a longtime member of the ladies auxiliary in Johnston. She loved crocheting and being a grandma and great-grandma. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Guardians.
Barbara will be deeply missed by her loving daughter, Susan Cross; granddaughters, Brandi (Markus) Smith and Megan Cross; and two great-granddaughters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald E. Howard Sr., whom she married April 5, 1980, and who passed away Dec. 18, 1988; her brothers, James W. Boyd and Thomas H. Boyd; and her twin sister, Linda Marie Brown.
Per Barbara's wishes, there are no calling hours or services, and a private burial will take place in Johnston Township Cemetery.
