WARREN -- April L. Simms, 66, went home to our Lord on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, following a brief illness.
She was born April 12, 1959, in Warren, to Minnie T. and Robert H. Dunmire.
April had a love of books and music that lasted a lifetime, along with her love of animals.
April is survived by her niece, Tiffany Mann; great-nephews, Nicholas (Carolina) Mann, Christopher Mann and Matthew Mann; stepson, Eyan Simms, whom she'd text during Browns games; stepdaughter, Carly Simms; her chosen family of friends; and her loving cat, Calliope.
April was preceded in death by her son, Ryan R. Roddy; her parents; her sister, Linda (Robert) Heinsohn; and her husband, Martin J. Simms.
Cremation has taken place and per April's wishes, there will be no services.
