MINERAL RIDGE -- Virginia Mae Campbell, 90, passed away peacefully at 11:50 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at Continuing Healthcare at the Ridge.
She was born in Niles on Oct. 8, 1935, the daughter of Clyde Latha and Ida Mae Jennings Cline.
Virginia attended the Choffin School, Penn State University and received a degree as a registered nurse. For over 25 years, she worked in the labor and delivery department at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1996.
She was a member of First Church of God in Mineral Ridge and enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and crocheting.
Virginia is survived by three daughters, Karen (Suzy) Evans and Peggy Williams of Weathersfield Township, and Cheryl Campbell of Niles, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Campbell Sr., who passed away Sept. 26, 1999; two daughters, Diana Scaggs and Janet Pitts; two sons, Sherman Campbell Jr. and Jimmy Lee Campbell; two sisters, Frances Boggs and Shirley Tillery; and four brothers, Junior, Dave, Ursel and George Cline.
The funeral will be at noon Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Chaplain Isaiah Irby and the Nurse Honor Guard will officiate.
Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.
