Thespina Holliger 1936-2025

Born Jan. 21, 1936, she was the beloved wife for almost 62 years of the late Edward Henry Holliger III; loving mother of Maria Tomlinson (husband, Tracy), Edward Henry “Hank” Holliger IV (wife, Magdi) and Sophia Nail (husband, Charles Edwin III “Chip”); devoted grandmother of Lauren Elizabeth, Edward Henry V “Quinn”, Lukas John and the late Anna Sophia Holliger and Elena Isabel, Thespina Maria “Tessa” and Julia Dawn Nail; cherished daughter of the late John Rigas and Sophia Synadinos Antjas; dearest sister of the late Voula Photos (husband, John, deceased), Anthony Antjas (wife, Kostoula, deceased), Georgia Skevos (husband, Andrew, deceased), Peter Antjas (wife, Voula, deceased) and Androniki Antjas.

Her family was the center of her world.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Thespina’s name may be made to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 429 High St., Warren, OH 44481; or SS. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3352 Mayfield Road, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118.

A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, at SS. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3352 Mayfield Road, Cleveland Heights. A Makaria lunch is to be held afterwards in the church hall.

The family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Thespina from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the funeral service Thursday, at the church.

Trisagion service with burial will begin at noon Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, in the Historic Marion Cemetery, 620 Delaware Ave., Marion, OH 43302.
