BLACKLICK -- Mary Lee Stoutamire Miller, 90, departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, at Pickerington Methodist Hospital following complications of an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 29, 1934, in Braceville, Ohio, the daughter of Wilson and Hattie Wesley Stoutamire Sr. She resided in Blacklick, Ohio, for nine years, following 81 years living in Warren.
Mary was a devoted wife and stay-at-home mother prior to being employed by Ames Department Store for many years as a clerk before retiring.
She was a member of the House of Prayer, where she served as the president of the Usher Board and a church mother. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word searches, shopping, movies, going to the nail and hair salon and watching television shows, including all "the judges" and cowboy Westerns. Everyone knew Mary loved butterflies.
She leaves to mourn two sons, Milton Poole Jr. of Clanton, Alabama, and David Poole aka Raheem Kaleef-Ali (Beauty) of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Ms. Joann Poole of Warren and Mrs. Annette (Michael) Williams of Blacklick; one sister, Ms. Clara Core of Warren; 10 grandchildren, Jermaine Poole, Jason Poole, Laurene Willingham, Monica Clinkscale, Jazmaine Poole, Tamara Poole, Brian Poole, Brooke Poole, Deonte Williams and Ciara Williams; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Hattie Wesley Stoutamire Sr.; three brothers, Clarence Stoutamire, Wilson Stoutamire Jr. and John Stoutamire; and three sisters, Frances Stoutamire, Ruth Rogers and Alberta Stoutamire.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Chapel, with calling hours from 10 to 11 a.m.
Burial will take place in Pineview Memorial Park Cemetery.
