CORTLAND -- Marie Elena Evans Price, 83, passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, peacefully in her sleep at home, surrounded by her loving daughters.
Marie was born Sept. 12, 1942, in Youngstown, to the late William and Helen Kopanic Evans.
Marie was a wonderful wife, loving mother and doting grandmother. She married her adoring husband, James Richard "Jim" Price, on Aug. 4, 1980, and they spent 42 wonderful years together before Jim's passing.
She worked at Packard Electric for 35 years until her retirement. Marie loved sewing, quilting, painting, cooking, canning, attending antique tractor shows with Jim and showing their antique tractors restored by Jim and Russell Wilson. She also loved landscaping and mowing the lawn.
She is survived by her two children, Wendi Price and Vicki Squibbs; two stepchildren, Jimmy (Marie) Price and Brenda (David) Pearce; her 17 grandchildren, Samuel Pearce, Jimmy (Lindsay) Price, Jonathan (Kelsey) Price, Amber (Dave) Fleet, Dre Squibbs, Heather (Travis) Miller, Joshua (Emily) Price, Justin Price, Jeremy (Zoe) Price, Isaac (Victoria) Pearce, Natasha (Ryan) Scott, Sydney Price, Reilly Swierbut, Jared Price, Mia Swierbut, Jillian Swierbut and Kendall Squibbs; her 26 great-grandchildren, Jordan Norwood, Madilynn Pearce, Jazlyn Squibbs, Walker Miller, Brooklyn Pearce, Jayda Squibbs, Trace Miller, Blake Miller, Brayden Price, Faith Price, Ethan Fleet, Gabriel Price, Addyson Price, Alexa Fleet, Nathaniel Price, Jonah Miller, Josie Price, Sawyer Miller, Emma Price, Hannah Price, Adam Price, Ella Price, Rylan Scott, Rhett Millier, Amelia Pearce and Millie Price; her sister, Carol Kennedy; her sister-in-law, Mary Pritchet; brother-in-law, Bob Price; and her nieces and nephews, Charles (Katherine) Kennedy Jr., William Kennedy, Suellen Fontanarosa, Bruce (Debra) McClung, Debbie (Dale) Walston, Ron (Jeanette) Plaskin, Laura (James) Skladanek and Joe (Gwen) Plaskin.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; brother-in-law, Charles Kennedy; and sisters-in-law, Donna Price and Carolyn Price.
