WARREN -- John J. O'Connell III, 64, of Warren, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
He was born Oct. 28, 1961, in Warren, the son of John and Mary Julian O'Connell Sr.
John attended Howland Schools, was a member of Salvation Army of Warren and participated at SCOPE.
John loved people and never met a stranger. He loved watching TV Land, the "Andy Griffith Show" and Frank Sinatra. He had a collection of movie star photos and vinyl records. He enjoyed The Drop In Center, living in Downtown Warren and taking trips in the car.
He will be sadly missed by his sister, Bonnie Wilson and her husband, Mike of Champion; a nephew, Buddy Wilson of Warren; a niece, Krista Koloskee of Warren; an uncle, George "Bud" Reese of Cortland; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of the 7 p.m. funeral service Tuesday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to The Drop In Center, C/O Salvation Army of Warren. Arrangements are being handled by the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
