WARREN -- Jeff Stassin, 68, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital with his family by his side. He died from complications from ankylosing spondylitis.
Jeff was born May 12, 1957, in Warren, to Arthur and Virginia Stassin.
Jeff graduated from Western Reserve High School in 1975. He studied at Stevens Institute and then went on to get his bachelor's degree in engineering from YSU. He was a member of Tau Beta Pi fraternity. He went on to get his master's degree in engineering from MIT.
He worked for Goodyear in Knoxville, Tennessee, specializing in nuclear waste.
Jeff was a historian of the Battle at Gettysburg.
He leaves behind his son, Jeff Jr. (Trish); three grandchildren of Texas; and sisters, Pat Thomas and Judy Flynn, both of Warren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Ron Stassin.
Per Jeff's wishes, there are no services.
Arrangements were by Oak Meadow Cremation.
