WARREN -- Helen E. Buydos, 90, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, at Windsor House at Champion.
She was born Nov. 24, 1935, in Irvona, Pa., the daughter of Lewis and Hazel Houser Derbeque, and moved to Ohio with her husband in 1959.
Helen was a 1953 graduate of Irvona High School. She was a wonderful homemaker whose first concern was for the well-being of her loved ones. She was a member of the former St. Pius X Catholic Church in Warren, where she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society for many years and served as president from 1979 to 1980. Helen enjoyed cooking and playing cards, and she played piano and accordion in a band for five years.
Precious memories of Helen live on with her two children, Amy Suhrer (Mike) of Montgomery, Texas, and Ed Buydos (Anna) of Warren; four grandchildren, Michael and Scott (Jennifer) Suhrer, and Andrew and Trevor Buydos; and other family and friends who loved her dearly and remember her fondly.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her beloved husband of 55 years, Victor Buydos, whom she married Nov. 22, 1958, and who passed Feb. 25, 2014; her cherished grandson, Collin Edward Buydos; her sister, Lois Hamilton; and her brother, Walter Derbeque.
Calling hours are 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. The funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, at St. William Parish, 5411 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren, OH 44483, with the Rev. Father Brian Cline officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Burial Park.
