NILES -- Elizabeth G. Scudere, 85, formerly of Niles, passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, at Continuing Healthcare in Mineral Ridge.
Born April 30, 1940, in Osceola Mill, Pa., Elizabeth was the daughter of Edgar and Evelyn Miller Short.
She was a 1959 graduate of Clearfield High School and, prior to retiring, worked as a cook at Alberini's Restaurant for 32 years. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Scudere, whom she married Nov. 14, 1959, and who passed away Sept. 3, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Don Short and Jerry Short.
She is survived by her son, Tony (Cheryl Puskas) Scudere; grandchildren, Shari (Jason) McCourt, Louis Scudere and April (Steve) Rossi; her nephew, Leonard (Terry) Mitchell, who was like a son to her; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Emily McCourt; and siblings, Bill (Becky) Short, Ron (Lisa) Short and Gail McLaughlin.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel.
