SOUTHINGTON -- Edward Eugene Smith, 73, passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at home, surrounded by his family.
He was born Dec. 13, 1952, in Warren, a son of the late Howard and Bessie White Smith.
Edward was a graduate of Labrae Schools and worked at Denman Tire for 30 years.
He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Edward was also a fan of Ohio State and Cleveland sports teams.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kathryn Smith; daughters, Selena (David) Serotko, Melissa Smith, Brittany (Cameron Higgins) Smith, Breanna (Jeremiah Shafer) Smith and Alison Smith; sister, Susan Small; brother, Steven Smith; and granddaughter, Kamia Serotko.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his brother, Martin Smith.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Visitation will take place 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025, and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Southington Graham Cemetery, Southington.
