Doris Nadiak 1928-2025

WARREN -- Doris Nadiak, 97, passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 25, 2025, at Community Commons assisted living in Warren.

Doris was born Jan. 11, 1928, in Chardon, a daughter of the late Charles and Grace Stow.

She became a hard worker at a young age, working at a grocery store and cleaning houses and the Town and Country Motel. At the age of 17, she married the love of her life, Michael Nadiak, on Feb. 16, 1945, and they began their family together.

She was a devoted member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Warren. Whether it was dancing with her husband, making homemade pierogies and haluski, or enjoying peaceful walks, she lived with joy and energy. One of her favorite pastimes was swinging on the swings with her grandchildren, and she always took comfort in sipping water from her favorite cup. Sweet and kindhearted, she was also feisty and full of spirit. Known for her selflessness, she always looked for ways to help others. She had a kind word for everyone she met and carried dollar bills with her, ready to give them to children to make them smile.

Doris will be deeply missed by her loving daughters, Ruth (Ron) Kendra, Donna (Randy) Miller, Shirley Pape and Pennie Harris; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Dino Treharn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her beloved husband of 53 years, Michael Nadiak; son, Dennis Nadiak; daughter, Gail Treharn; grandson, Joe Treharn; and son-in-law, Arthur K. Harris III.

Per Doris' wishes, there are no calling hours or services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in care of the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lane Funeral Homes Roberts Clark Chapel in Warren. Family and friends may send their heartfelt condolences by visiting www.lanefuneralhomes.com.
